As part of this year's Annual
Cracker Storytelling Festival, haunting tales are scheduled inside the 1908 courtroom of the Historic Polk County Courthouse in Bartow.
"It will be the perfect atmosphere for scary storytelling," said Terrie Stull-Sullivan, secretary/treasurer of the Cracker Storytelling Festival.
"We want to create the love of storytelling for all ages," she said. "They are ghost stories, but not scary, scary ghost stories."
The 16th annual event was created to promote literacy.
