Summary:
Some of the loveliest ever heard are: "Once upon a time ..."
That's why over the weekend I went to Jonesboro, Tenn., along with some 13,000 other folks, to attend the 32nd annual
National Storytelling Festival. I wanted somebody to tell me a story. And two-dozen or so featured tellers seemed only too happy to oblige.
The true magic of stories is that they tell us who we are, both the teller and the listener.
