Summary:
The Idaho Falls Youth Arts Centre in Idaho Falls is offering children the chance to become a storyteller. Children have the opportunity to make books come to life with one of the oldest art forms.
From voice inflections to facial animation, the Idaho Commission on the Arts/National Endowment for the Arts is supporting this activity with a grant.
Award-winning artist Teresa Clark will be the featured storyteller and will instruct the classes. She says:
"Storytelling helps all walks of education. I can't tell you how many kids I've had that teachers have said they struggle in math or struggle here; they are not going to like this class, but they're the ones at the end of the session stand up and tell these beautiful stories."
