Storytellers Share Great Tales at Yearly Event

Summary:
The Detroit Story League's 22nd annual Storytelling Festival has two days of events planned. The featured artists are:

Connecticut-based
Carol Birch,

Charlotte Blake Alston, who bills herself as a contemporary griot (the traditional keeper of stories in African villages) and
-
Patrick Ball, a Celtic harp player who weaves music into his Irish tales.
Storyteller Carol Birch will share her spirited and sensitive story of Lou Gehrig’s life, which earned her a chance to weave her original tale at the Baseball Hall of Fame’s Bull Pen Theater in Cooperstown, N.Y.
