Storytelling and Science by Kathleen Martin and Etta Miller Language Arts, v65 n3 p255-59 Mar 1988 Keywords: elementary education, middle school, high school ABSTRACT This paper argues that the nature of science texts adopted in most schools is unscientific, static, linear, and nonparticipatory and offers children no connections between forms and forces, between observers and observed. Claims that scientific knowledge can be kept alive for children through storytelling.
